Locking assemblies for your drive solution

Locking assembly made of steel

G&G locking assemblies connect a drive shaft or motor shaft with the associated drive elements, such as sprockets, spur gears or belt pulleys, to the respective drive or output shaft. They ensure a uniform connection and maximum clamping force – without damaging the shaft! They are available in a wide range of designs and variants and different sizes. Twelve series are available in steel and three in stainless steel. G&G locking assemblies are self-centring internal locking assemblies. These are friction-locked shaft-hub connections that fully enclose the shaft and effectively clamp the positioned drive element without damaging the surface of the shaft.

Further information

We are happy to take on the assembly and disassembly, replacement and readjustment of the locking assembly with the associated drive element at any time and at short notice. G&G locking assemblies consist of two conical rings that are pushed into each other and bolted together. The outer ring is expanded and pressed against the hub, while the inner ring is pressed against the shaft. This enables the achievement of very high and uniform clamping forces. Unlike other shaft-hub connections, they transmit speed and torque non-positively.

The clamping forces achieved also enable the use of smaller sizes – allowing a savings in material, installation space and weight. Another advantage of locking assemblies is that they do not require any machining of the drive shaft, which is therefore not weakened. Moreover, compared to keyway connections, for example, assembly and disassembly require little effort.
