Spindle lifting gear units in a modular design

Spindle lifting gear unit with trapezoidal threaded spindle

G&G spindle lifting gear units are often used in mechanical and plant engineering as well as in special-purpose machinery construction. They are especially suitable for infinitely variable adjustment and positioning devices, precise lifting and lowering, as well as for pushing and swivelling movements.

They are usually driven by an electric motor. Smaller applications and/or individual gears can also be operated manually using hand cranks/wheels.

The product range of G&G Antriebstechnik GmbH includes spindle lifting gear units in 11 sizes and with lifting forces from GG 2.5 kN to GG 500 kN from stock. Three design variants are available for this type of linear actuator: one with stationary spindle, one with stationary spindle and rotation lock and one with rotating spindle.

Spindle lifting gear units

When installed individually, G&G spindle lifting gear units can be used in a wide range of applications. They are used in all applications requiring conveying, holding, lifting, pushing, lowering or moving, whether vertically or horizontally. The range of applications is even wider when several spindle lifting gear units are connected via cardan shafts and, if necessary, angular gears to form a synchronised system.

The cubic design of the G&G gearboxes meets the current standard. Aluminium, steel, stainless steel and cast iron are available as housing materials. The housings are machined on all sides and offer a variety of different assembly options.

G&G offers two reduction ration variants for each size as standard, which differ primarily in terms of stroke speed – 6.25 mm/s and a maximum of 25 mm/s.

The gear units are designed for both compressive and tensile loads.

The gear units are factory-fitted with rolled trapezoidal threaded spindles according to DIN 103 tolerance 7e. The rolling of thread profiles refers to non-cutting production by cold forming. In this process, the profile is rolled into the surface of the starting material. The grain flow of the starting material is not interrupted in this process. The result is a homogeneous material structure with a wear-resistant, press-polished, smooth flank surface.

To support you as a user in the selection of gears and accessories, we invite you to use our G&G questionnaire for the design and configuration of spindle lifting gear units. We are also happy to give you personal advice based on the key data you provide there.
