Timing belt drives are characterised by higher transmission capacities (Nm) and speeds compared to chain drives, as well as permanently high positioning accuracy due to their lower longitudinal elongation. For applications in the automotive industry, we offer silicone-free timing belts on request.

Timing belts
Timing belt drives form the group of positive belt drives – with positioning accuracy and repeatability being the outstanding features that make them ideal for control applications in mechanical and plant engineering, among other applications. Endless timing belts are the preferred choice for automation and handling technology as well as transport and conveyor technology. The toothing on the running surface virtually eliminates belt slippage.
Their efficiency in terms of power transmission is correspondingly high, even at relatively high rotational and peripheral speeds. Timing belt drives are also valued for their high tensile strength with comparatively low elongation. Due to their high resistance to lubricants, moisture and chemicals, timing belts are seeing ever greater use in the food industry.
