Rigid couplings - slotted
G&G slotted rigid couplings are torsionally rigid shaft connections that use various clamping bolts to create a friction-locked connection between the coupling and shaft and between the shafts to be connected without deforming or damaging the shaft in any way.
Further information
The use of rigid couplings ideally requires the additional installation of support bearings in the area of the respective shaft ends, especially when long shafts are operated at high speeds. This reduces the bending stress on the couplings to a minimum.
Maximum drive power (speed and torque) can only be transmitted with:
- Exactly aligned shaft ends
- Max. dimensional accuracy of the shafts
- Proper installation
- Identical shaft diameters – different shaft diameters on request
